A professional painter prepares surfaces and applies paint, stains, and coatings to residential, commercial, or industrial properties. Surface Preparation: Clean walls, fill cracks or holes with putty, sand rough spots, and remove old paint or wallpaper.Protection: Cover floors, furniture, fixtures, and trim with drop cloths, masking tape, and plastic sheeting.Application: Mix and match colors, apply primers or sealers, and use brushes, rollers, or sprayers to put on coats of paint or varnish.Cleanup: Remove protective coverings, reinstall fixtures, and clean tools and the work area.
