Job Description

A dental doctor (dentist) diagnoses, prevents, and treats conditions of the teeth, gums, and mouth to maintain optimal oral health.Examine and Diagnose: Check patient teeth, gums, and oral tissues, and review X-rays to find issues.Treatment Planning: Create clear, personalized treatment plans and explain options and costs to patients.Perform Procedures: Fill cavities, perform root canals, extract teeth, and install crowns, bridges, or implants.Administer Medication: Prescribe necessary medications and apply local anesthetics or sedatives for pain relief.Education: Hold a recognized degree such as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).Licensure: Possess a valid, active state or national registration/license to practice dentistry.Skills: Strong manual dexterity, excellent communication, attention to detail, and a compassionate bedside manner.
