A waiter’s core responsibility is to provide prompt, friendly service that ensures a pleasant dining experience for every guest.Arrange table runners, clean glassware, fold napkins, and roll silverware. Refill condiments, salt, pepper, napkins, and service trays. Learn daily specials, soup of the day, 86’d (unavailable) items, and ingredient details or food allergies. Welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to tables, and hand out menus.Accurately record food and beverage selections using a notepad, tablet, or POS system.
