Job Description

An auto mechanic diagnoses, maintains, and repairs mechanical and electronic systems in cars and light trucks.• Diagnostics: Test parts and systems using computerized diagnostic equipment to identify engine, transmission, brake, and electrical issues.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform oil and fluid changes, rotate tires, replace filters, and check fluid levels.
• Repairs: Repair or replace worn, damaged, or broken parts such as brake pads, sensors, and wheel bearings.
• Testing: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and test drives to verify safety and performance standards.
• Communication: Explain mechanical problems, repair options, and cost estimates to clients or service advisors.
• Record Keeping: Document services performed, hours worked, and parts used.
