Job Description

A cashier processes customer payments, manages the point-of-sale (POS) system, and provides customer service in retail or service settings.Scan items, handle cash, credit, debit, and digital payments, and issue correct change and receipts.Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products or store promotions, and resolve complaints. Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts and generate sales reports. Keep the checkout area clean, bag items securely, and assist with stocking shelves or inventory checks when needed.
