Job Description

A computer operator monitors and maintains computer systems, servers, and peripheral equipment to ensure reliable daily operations.System Monitoring: Watch computer networks, mainframes, and consoles for error messages, performance warnings, or system crashes.Batch Processing: Run, schedule, and oversee daily batch jobs, updates, and routine scripts according to production schedules.Data Backups: Perform and verify routine data backups and assist with recovery procedures.Troubleshooting: Diagnose basic hardware, software, and peripheral issues (such as printers or storage devices) and coordinate advanced repairs.Maintenance & Inventory: Keep an inventory of computer parts, clean equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.User Support: Answer internal or external user questions and log system incidents.
