Crane Driver

Job Description

A crane operator controls heavy lifting machinery to lift, move, and position large materials and equipment safely and accurately at construction, industrial, or shipping sites.• Operate Machinery: Use levers, pedals, and buttons to control the boom, hoist, and load movement with precision.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct daily pre-operational checks on cables, brakes, hydraulics, and safety devices before use.
• Weight Management: Calculate load weights, read load charts, and ensure loads stay well within approved capacity limits.
• Site Communication: Coordinate lifts by following radio commands or hand signals from ground crew and signalpersons.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs, lubricate moving parts, and keep clear operational logs.
