A diesel mechanic inspects, maintains, and repairs engines that run on diesel fuel in trucks, buses, and heavy equipment.: Changes oil, replaces filters, and checks fluid levels. Fixes or puts in new parts like brakes, transmissions, steering systems, and fuel injectors. Indoor garages with heavy lifting tools and diagnostic equipment.
