Job Description

A hairdresser provides clients with hair cutting, coloring, washing, and styling services while maintaining a clean and welcoming salon environment.• Consultations: Greet clients, listen to their needs, and advise on suitable cuts, colors, and treatments.
• Hair Care Services: Wash, condition, cut, blow-dry, straighten, curl, and color hair using various techniques like balayage and highlights.
• Sales and Stock: Recommend and sell hair care retail products, and track inventory levels.
• Salon Maintenance: Sanitize tools, clean workstations, and manage bookings.
• Payments: Collect payments and schedule follow-up appointments.• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an accredited cosmetology program or beauty school.
• Licensure: Valid state or regional cosmetology/hairdressing license.
• Experience: Prior hands-on salon experience is preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, active listening, and friendly customer service abilities.
