A laboratory technician supports scientists, doctors, and engineers by preparing samples, running tests, and maintaining lab equipment
• Sample Management: Receive, label, sort, and store biological samples, chemicals, or materials safely.
• Testing and Analysis: Perform routine and specialized tests following strict scientific methods.
• Equipment Care: Clean, sterilize, maintain, and calibrate complex lab tools like microscopes and analyzers.
• Data Recording: Log test results accurately into computer databases or paper records.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow strict health codes, wear protective gear, and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Inventory Control: Track lab supplies and order new reagents or materials when stock runs low
