Job Description

A lifting supervisor is directly responsible for overseeing on-site lifting operations to ensure they follow safety rules and the approved lift plan.Supervise Operations: Be present during all lifting activities to direct and control movements.Enforce the Lift Plan: Make sure the crew understands and follows the written lifting plan.Brief the Team: Conduct safety briefings (toolbox talks) with crane operators, riggers, and signalmen before work starts.Check Qualifications: Verify that only certified or authorized operators, riggers, and signalmen take part in the lift.Inspect Site and Gear: Check that ground conditions are stable and that lifting gear and equipment have valid inspection tags.Stop Unsafe Work: Shut down operations immediately if unsafe conditions or unauthorized people appear, and fix the hazard before continuing.
