Loading is a scientific and industrial process used to speed up the settling of tiny, suspended impurities in a liquid by making them heavier.Loading is a specialized form of sedimentation where chemicals are added to dirty or muddy water to pull fine particles together.Alum (potassium aluminum sulfate) is the most common chemical used for this process. Alum binds to light, suspended dirt particles, neutralizing their electric charges and causing them to clump together into larger, heavy clusters called flocs.
