Job Description

A makeup artist applies cosmetics and prosthetics to enhance or alter a person’s appearance for film, television, fashion, or special events.Consultations: Meet with clients or directors to discuss desired styles, skin types, and project goals.Application: Apply foundation, eye makeup, and lipstick using professional tools and color theory.Special Effects: Create artificial cuts, bruises, or alter features using FX prosthetics and latex when required.Collaboration: Work alongside costume designers, hairstylists, and directors to maintain a cohesive look.Maintenance: Ensure makeup stays fresh during shoots, perform touch-ups, and safely remove products post-production.
