A tailor is a skilled professional who makes, alters, and repairs clothing to fit an individual customer’s exact body measurements.Taking measurements: Measuring a client’s body and noting proportions.Creating garments: Designing patterns, cutting fabric, and sewing pieces together by hand or machine to build custom clothing from scratch.Altering clothes: Adjusting ready-made or store-bought clothes by hemming pants, shortening sleeves, or taking in seams for a better fit.Repairing items: Fixing torn seams, replacing broken zippers, or mending worn fabric.
