A welder joins, cuts, and repairs metal components and structures using heavy machinery and specialized heat techniques. Read and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to plan layouts and measurements. Cut, shape, clean, and grind metal surfaces using saws, torches, or plasma cutters before welding.
